Ralph Sliwinski and Bjorn Mulik aka Anobis22 make their debut on Immigrant Records with a stellar 3 track EP that epitomizes their special blend of jackin’ house and soulful techno. The EP’s title track ‘Day By Day’ casually grooves it’s way into the bloodstream with rhythmic toms, tribal congas and old school vocal stabs, resulting in a jackin’ house cut of the highest order. ‘Hatchback’ cranks up the energy and firmly targets the dance floor, through its throbbing bass line, off-kilter synth hits, razor-sharp trumpet stabs and sultry keys before stripping down to some minimal funk. The EP winds down with ‘30th Stitches’, a venture into deeper more tranquil waters but still maintains the duo’s undeniable blend of soulful house and groovy techno.
